-September 14th, 2015. 12.00h. Brussels, Belgium

Following a lecture on Renaissance music in the house of Erasmus, the Early Byrds will perform a fitting programme of music by Josquin and his contemporaries. Among these composers were some of Erasmus’ inspirators, like his fellow humanist Rudolph Agricola, as well as his admirers, among whom no less a figure than King Henry VIII of England counted himself.
The atmosphere of the concert will be heigthened by the historical location, a 15th Century town house filled with Erasmus’ writings and paintings by Rogier van der Weyden and Jheronimus Bosch.
